Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Splat ("Service"), operated by The IT Dept Pty Ltd (ABN 12 665 405 505), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Splat is a bug collection platform that allows users to embed a widget in their applications to collect bug reports from end users. These reports are automatically converted into GitHub issues in connected repositories.

3. Account Registration

To use Splat, you must authenticate via GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your GitHub account and for all activities that occur through your Splat account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use the Service to collect personal data without proper consent
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

5. Payment Terms

Splat is offered as a subscription service at $9 USD per month. Payments are processed monthly in advance. You may cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of your billing period.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Splat, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in that policy. We do not sell your data to third parties.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its code, design, and branding, is owned by The IT Dept Pty Ltd. You retain ownership of all content you submit through the Service, including bug reports and associated data.

8. Third-Party Services

Splat integrates with GitHub. Your use of GitHub is subject to GitHub's own terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability or functionality of third-party services.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The IT Dept Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.
